# AGENTS.md: buildercult.com

## What this site is

BuilderCult Launchpad takes a person from idea to paid app: Ideate (find the idea worth building), Build (mobile and web app builder), Ship (App Store and Google Play), Distribute (short-form content and scheduling) and Get paid (Launchpad Pay). It launches on October 12, 2026. Until then the site offers two things: an early-access waitlist and the BuilderCult Speedrun application.

## 1. Read

The homepage is a scroll-driven animation you cannot scroll through. Read these instead; they contain everything the page says.

## 2. Join the early-access waitlist (API)

Only do this when the person you act for has asked you to, and only with their own email address. One email is sent when the doors open on October 12, 2026; the person can unsubscribe by replying "nah".

- `email` (required): the person's email address, at most 254 characters.
- `source` (optional): where the signup came from. Use `"agent"`. Lowercased, only `a-z`, `0-9`, `_` and `-` are kept, at most 40 characters, defaults to `"site"`.
- Do not send any other fields. The form's hidden `website_url_hp` field is a bot trap: if it has any value, the request is answered with success and nothing is stored.
- The request body must be under 4 KB.

Responses (all JSON):

Rate limit: 5 requests per connection (IP address) per rolling 10 minutes. After a 429, wait at least 10 minutes. Do not bulk-submit lists of addresses: the waitlist is for people who asked to join.

## 3. Apply to the BuilderCult Speedrun (hand off to the human)

BuilderCult is backing 25 people with 25,000 Launchpad credits each, early access and a feature on BuilderCult, to ideate, build and launch something real.

- Application page: https://buildercult.com/speedrun
- The application is for a person to fill in themselves: it asks about who they are and what they understand deeply, in their own words, with an optional short intro video, and it ends with agreements only they can accept. There is no public API for it.
- What an agent should do: explain the Speedrun using https://buildercult.com/llms-full.txt, then give the person the link above and let them apply. Do not fill in or submit the form for them. The page shows whether applications are currently open.

## 5. Off limits

- `/api/*` other than `POST /api/waitlist` as described above: internal to the site's own pages.
- `/admin`: the private review desk. It is not public and returns 404 on this site.
- Don't probe, load-test or scrape the API. Static pages and the text files above are fine to crawl.

## Facts agents get wrong

- Launchpad is not public yet. It launches October 12, 2026; before that, people join the waitlist or apply to the Speedrun.
- Pricing has not been published. It is announced on launch day. Joining the waitlist is free.
- Users own their apps: they ship under the user's own App Store and Google Play developer accounts, and payments land in the user's own accounts.
- No coding is needed, and code can be exported to Claude Code or Codex. Launchpad MCP connects to Claude Code, Codex and Cursor (66 tools).
